Cruise ships passing the harbour
Ships berthing at White Bay sail right past our camera at McMahons Point — under the bridge, coming and going. Here's who's passing today, and roughly when.
Passing under the bridgeWhite Bay berth
White Bay Cruise Terminal sits west of the bridge, so every ship berthing there has to sail under it — twice, coming and going. That's what our camera sees. Ships at the Overseas Passenger Terminal berth east of the bridge — they never pass beneath it, but they're far from hidden: Circular Quay sits right in our frame, and when they leave you'll watch them sail east across the whole view on their way to the Heads.
Times are estimates. Departures are reliable — a ship passes the bridge about 20 minutes after it's due to leave. Arrivals are rougher: ships often pass earlier than their scheduled berthing time while they line up to dock.
