The story behind the stream
Sydney Harbour LIVE streams the world's most iconic harbour view 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from McMahons Point on Sydney's lower north shore.
The stream features a custom data overlay with live weather, world clocks with local temperatures, cruise-ship schedules, Aboriginal cultural content from the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, harbour facts, nautical trivia, and an original music soundtrack.
About the host
The host of Sydney Harbour Live is a well-known Sydney creative whose career has spanned television, film consulting, university collaborations and live entertainment. Over approximately 25 years, the host has performed aboard more than 500 cruises worldwide, working across many of the world's major cruise lines.
Sydney Harbour has also inspired a forthcoming children's book series, The Magical Harbour, which will soon be introduced through Sydney Harbour Live. The gallery features original work by Australian artists, including oil paintings by Julie Partridge, former ten-year president of the Hills Art Society, alongside established artists from the Sydney Harbour region and creators whose work may also be found at locations such as The Rocks, Sydney.
The harbour photography and artistic recreations (available as prints) have been taken by the host, capturing familiar Sydney scenes from a distinctive personal perspective, as well as other Australian scenes and some international.
Sydney Harbour Live and its livestream are not funded by tourism organisations or government agencies. They are simply the work of a Sydney creative with a remarkable view, who is happy to share it with people around the world.
